Great Bike for the Money and Great Support

We love the Hurricane bikes, they are the smoothest road bikes we ever rode. I would highly recommend them. The only issue we have had is the battery life on one bike, as it only has half the battery life of the other. We worked with support on this and they are sending me a free replacement battery, hoping that I will get it by this weekend so that I can take them with my brother for a fun spin.

Hurricane bike purchased in July 2023….

I love this bike, it’s lighter than most e bikes and works really well. I have only had it for a couple of weeks, but I am retired so I can use it daily. It is an electric bike so there is a learning curve about changing gears and levels of assistance, the least eco is the least assistance and using it will make the battery last longest. If you want to go faster you step up the assistance another level, however this bike does all this very smoothly and strongly. Thanks KBO!

Buy it

Needed a bike that I could tote up a flight of stairs into my apartment but also wanted the e-bike element for commuting without breaking a sweat. It’s even better than expected — great power, comfortable, lightweight (I mean, heavier than a non-ebike, but I can carry it). Really appreciate the built-in battery and safety lights. Glad I splurged on this.

Great Hurricane

I honestly was surprised that I would receive an ebike of this quality at this price point... I rode a total of 35 miles with a short climb up the mountain, which is the picture I posted here. I used 4 out of 5 bars of battery life. I still ride my carbon framed Specialized Tarmac Pro for long distances but felt so liberated riding the Hurricane because 1) I didn't have to shift, 2) I didn't have to unclip from the pedals, and 3) the ride was quite effortless in headwinds. I highly recommend the Hurricane to anyone who is on the fence about buying an ebike.

Sleek, Light, and Quick...!

I cannot say enough about my first e-bike purchase from KBO...! I live in the San Francisco suburbs and work in the City, and I keep the Hurricane at my office to get around the City for business meetings, coffee dates, errands, lunch meetings, etc. The bike is extremely lightweight for an electric bike, and the cadence sensor helps me get around the San Francisco hills with ease, which I now welcome and can scale without breaking a sweat by just increasing the pedal-assist a bit when needed.

Positives:
Weight: I chose this bike because I will be using it for long distance with having to go up and down stairs. These were the 2 main concerns I had with purchasing a new bike. The weight of this one seems to be the lightest and well fit for my purpose of using it longer distances. The lighter weight really helps a lot in my case!
Distance: This bike is great for long distance. The extra assistance helps so much.
Lights & reflectors: working great so far! I was late getting back home in time before nightfall so I ended up having to ride in the dark and had to use the front light and other night features. That helped so much!
Speed: It actually goes pretty fast. I didn't even make it all the way up as fast as it can go because it can go so fast!
Kickstand: seems to be working well. Seems to be thick enough to not tip over easily.

Love this bike but...

This is my first ebike and I have to say I'm hooked. It's everything its supposed to be. It cut my commute time from 45 minutes to 35 minutes during the afternoon rush hour. I bought this bike for several reasons, one of which is because its a sexy looking bike. Most ebikes look weird or funky. Unfortunately, this model comes with only a 350 watt motor.

Fantastic bike and lightweight

Exceeded my expectation and battery holding up well. Able to ride hills with no issues and bike held up well in gravel path. Would have given 5 stars BUT the bike came with a huge gash on the frame. Cosmetic only and was compensated accordingly. Got used to the single gear in no time and enjoying the ride and feel of the bike.
