Stealth Urban Electric Bike KBO Hurricane 2.0

Wanted a ebike to ride paved trails AND to be able to lift ebike on bike rack. Just 36 lbs this was perfect! I rode 31 miles on my first ride and WHAT A BLAST!!! This e-bike was SO MUCH FUN!!! I’m at the age where I needed a little assistance on hills. Never been on an ebike before. This was a great choice and am SO HAPPY WITH MY HURRICANE.

This bike is exactly what I was looking for in a bicycle, it's bike first, electric second. I wanted a simple road bike to commute back and forth to work on, something to handle a mix of busy San Diego streets and twisty bike paths. This bike has the electric assistance without making you feel like pedaling is optional, and the weight is kept reasonable which is nice for my apartment dwelling. All in all very happy.

After assembly (very easy) I took it out for a first ride today, about 14 miles. I only used power for a portion of the ride but it was perfect. I like that it is a really nice standard bike too, most of my ride was man power but the assist was great when I needed it.

My special thanks to the customer service representative who resolved a shipping problem. I have owned and ridden road bikes for over 60 years and have experienced all the technology improvements along the way. Each new development made ridding a little easier to do. I presently own an all carbon fiber 22 speed that weighs 18 pounds. It is very difficult to increase riding performance at any age and almost impossible as we get older. But you can always improve “Efficiency” defined as using less energy to produce the same power output. The Hurricane 2, with its pedal assist, does this beautifully. The bike arrived on April 29th and was easy to unpack and assemble. Resembles a road bike and has a great look. Battery did not need charging so I did my first test ride. My impression: Fun and enjoyable to ride using a lot less effort than my other bike to do 15 to 20 mph. At level 1 a slight surge, at level 2 a noticeable speed increase, and at level 3 “WOW’. Because I had to pedal to engage motor, I was exercising. There are numerous pedal assist e-bikes on the market with most costing a lot more than the hurricane. For the budget minded rider this is the best available. I know everyone (young and old) would enjoy the experience of riding the Hurricane 2.

Working as a Certified Fitness Trainer specializing in endurance training, for 23 years, has given me insight as to how our performance diminishes with age. Knowing this has allowed me to suggest ways to compensate for the loss. It is very difficult to increase physical fitness at any age and almost impossible as we get older. But you can always improve “Efficiency” defined as using less energy to produce the same power output. The Hurricane 2, with its pedal assist, does this beautifully.

Everything from delivery to the performance of bike is very good!

My first e-bike purchase and it was a good one. The build quality is great, the setup was easy, and the bike performance gave me just the boost I was looking for. My first ride was 15 miles with a few challenging hills. The ride was smooth and as easy as I wanted it to be the whole way.

I would grade the bike as a 4.5. The bike is light and you can definitely pedal without power assist. I live in Tucson and my first ride was 19 miles and had a 1000 foot elevation change. I had ~50% battery charge remaining after the ride. The power assist is great on level ground but could be stronger on the steep hills I encountered. It is comfortable despite my size. The bike is well constructed and solid feeling, but I had to adjust the brakes and derailleur out of the box.
