Hurricane Movement

This is my first e-bike. This is a sleek, zippy, lightweight e-bike. I researched a lot. There are not that many'stealth? options out there so Hurricane is a great option for the price.

I honestly was surprised that I would receive an ebike of this quality at this price point... I rode a total of 35 miles with a short climb up the mountain, which is the picture I posted here. I used 4 out of 5 bars of battery life. I still ride my carbon framed Specialized Tarmac Pro for long distances but felt so liberated riding the Hurricane because 1) I didn't have to shift, 2) I didn't have to unclip from the pedals, and 3) the ride was quite effortless in headwinds. I highly recommend the Hurricane to anyone who is on the fence about buying an ebike.

The bike arrived in a week packaged well. Assembly was easy with more than enough juice in the battery to go for a spin. I LOVE the bike. It feels very tight and safe at 20 mph. I seem to get more battery life than expected using assist level 1 most of the time. The great thing about the bike is the ease getting it in and out of my van... After 2 weeks of riding nearly every day I feel confident to go for long rides. Way beyond expectations for the price I'm expecting years of riding without issues.

Amazing on paved and ground stone bike paths and on the road

Bought mine a year ago. I ride this bike once or twice a week for 15 to 20 miles on rails to trails. I confess that (contrary to manufacturer's recommendation) I swapped out the road tires for a very light hybrid tire that give a bit better grip on dirt paths. My wife rides a hybrid non E bike. We ride at about 12 mph. I use my assist about 10% (max) of the time. The battery lasts for six to seven rides (I recharge at 2 bars). The gearing without the assist is so smooth (even without gears) that assist is not necessary on flat or slight uphills. If that is your ride profile, this bike is PERFECT. This is so much more than a road bike!!

Just what I wanted...

I love to ride for exercise and recreation but wanted to try an e-bike to help battle hills and headwinds sometimes. I also wanted it to let me ride without assist easily, look like a regular bike, be simple, and inexpensive. The Hurricane is fantastic. I rode 53 mi so far, have used assist approx 40% of the time (mostly level 1 and 2) , and have 3 of 5 battery bars remaining. I found it easiest for me to maintain 14-16 mph. For reference, I'm 55 yrs old, 5' 9", 30" inseam, and 185#. The bike came boxed and protected very well. The bell was broken but easily repaired and there were a couple of very minor scratches on the rear hub motor and a few spokes (probably from assembly). I am normally very picky but for the price, expected minor imperfections. I would definitely reccommend the Hurricane. Thanks KBO.

The KBO Hurricane is the best bike I have ever owned. The functionality is exceptional and the price is beyond fair. The quality is outstanding and lives up to the advertisements and prior reviews. I would recommend and have recommended it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced electrically assisted bicycle. Just purchased another for my wife. Great job KBO!
